    报告主题:Red Blood Cell Membrane Based Nanomaterials for Immune Tolerance Modulation and Cancer Radiotherapy

    The use of biomimic materials to manipulate the microenvironment in vivo to alter the immune system is a promising treatment for autoimmune disease, organ transplantation and cancer immunotherapy. Membrane of red blood cells (RBCs) comprises a myriad of sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P), proteins, glycans, and acidic sialyl moieties that can actively suppress immune attack has been proposed as a promising candidate. This presentation focuses on the development of new injectable red blood cell membrane vesicle based scaffold with macroporous structure to modulate the in vivo immune tolerance microenvironment. This scaffold can in situ recruit dendritic cells (DCs) and affect the differentiation of DCs through the interaction of scaffold with DCs. In addition, synthesis of red blood cell membrane coated bismuth nanoparticles as radiosensitizer for enhanced X-ray radiotherapy will be discussed.

    报告人简介:

    Dr. Junjie Deng received his B.S./M.S. degree in major of Polymer Chemistry & Physics at Xiangtan University (XTU) under the supervision of Prof.Yuanli Cai (now in Soochow University), then he pursued his Ph.D.degree at Institute of Polymer Science at Sun Yat-sen University under the supervision of Prof. Liming Zhang. In February 2014, he joined the group of Prof. Hao Cheng at Drexel University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. In March 2016, he moved to the Prof. Ming Su’s group at Northeastern University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
